CNC-machined, cast iron NASCAR competition block with factory installed Nickaloy Sleeves bored to 4.165 . Nickaloy sleeves don�t wear out and are good for many-many rebuilds. There is a little extra work to hone but you only hone maybe .001�
9.025" deck height, 283 mains
4-bolt NASCAR-block specific steel mains, 17° splayed caps on center 3 mains
Machined for 58mm roller cam bearings
.875" lifter bores offset for SB2.2 heads
-06AN water drains
45° -10AN front oil feed and valley scavenge
AN O_ring pipe plugs
(4) Center lifter valley drains (drilled & tapped)
Steam holes drilled between cylinders .750" below deck surface
1/2" NPT water hole on each side of block
Dry sump only(no oil filter boss)
SB2.2 Lifter pattern and lobe sprayers
Tested to over 800 horsepower
This is a SB2.2 GM Performance Racing Block fresh from a top NASCAR Race Team. It has 2,311 miles use. This one has Nickaloy Sleeves, a option supplied by GM for high-tech engines. (Small Block/second generation) This engine was produced from 1996 to the present for racing applications only. The cylinder heads were redesigned and the lifter bores were offset. The valve sequence for each head was changed from the traditional E-I-I-E-E-I-I-E to a new I-E-I-E-E-I-E-I and because of this the camshaft was redesigned.
