Chevy GMC 5.7 / 350 Small Block Motor L05 TBI

This motor was removed from a 1996 Chevy 3500 / one ton van. It is a GM L05 5.7L / 350. Engine specs are: 210hp; 300tq. Because it is out of a one ton vehicle it has a forged steel crank, the block is a 4 bolt main, powered metal connecting rods, may be hydraulic roller cam / lifters? I have not looked inside. This is a complete motor from TBI fuel injection to oil pan, included is all the serpentine belt accessories on the front of the motor to include: water pump, power steering pump, ac compressor, crank pulley, alternator, all brackets, starter, complete engine management harness and computer. Harness is for auto transmission (Not included) it will run a PWM 4L60 / 4L80 4 speed auto trans. Motor has 69K on it, motor is still all intact and complete, runs great, no smoke or knocks.

You can remove the FI and put carb and intake on this set up, or this computer can have the chip replaced for upgrades, since it is a 1996, I believe it is OBD II. For a hot rod and not a truck application, you can also replace the small cam for a power performance cam, this motor will easily make 300 to 325hp, 350+ foot pounds of torque. This crank, block, and connecting rods are the same as the parts GM uses in their performance parts engines like the ZZ4 motor. This truck motor short block more than likely has cast dish pistons while the ZZ4 has hypereutectic flat tops that have a little more compression.

This motor would also work great for a Volvo Penta or MerCruiser boat replacement engine.

This short block from the dealer would cost around $3000.00 without the FI and accessories.
